Pia Wurtzbach has gift for 'Asian sister'

MANILA - In addition to winning the title of Miss Universe, it seems that Filipina beauty queen Pia Wurtzbach has made a new friend.
On the official Facebook page of the international pageant on Wednesday, the 26-year-old Wurtzbach shared that her roommate, Miss Myanmar May Thaw, came by her room "before she left to say goodbye."
"I gave her my last pearl earrings to keep and remember me by. I'm so thankful to have met so many amazing women during this journey!" she said.
In the events leading up to the coronation night, Wurtzbach was seen posting on her Instagram account selfies with her "Asian sisters," which included Thaw, Miss Malaysia Vanessa Tevi Kumares, and Miss China Jessica Xue.
Kumares, in one her photos, even described Wurtzbach as her "Miss Universe sister." She shared: "Sitting with my [Miss Universe sister] while listening to Lu Sierra briefing."
"She just told me that the staging for Binibining Pilipinas is 3 [times] bigger than it is here in Vegas. Say whert?! That's cray cray. Really hope I'll be able to witness the pageant love in Philippines one day!"
